Enter through the lush awning and velvet curtains and descend the staircase to Bar Veronika, an experience of low slung plush seating, hand painted walls and fine cocktails deeply sourced trays and salt cellars. Beyond the drapery, enter Veronika: the golden warmth and elegance calls for old New York and revelry. Bringing this project to life spared no detail, creating a layered experience. “Again”, by Ellen Von Unwerth served as the encapsulation of what Veronika was, inevitably creating a reveal of the image on Veronika menus with soft touch laminate and embossing. Velvet jackets with hand-dyed enamel buttons float through the space in moss green, mauve and precision black. Rich curry linen double cloths the tables flanking the room. Sculptural and rich florals touch your experience building into the restroom, with a cavernous explosion of femininity is tucked in a marble inset. Detail, service and magic have created one of the most beautiful rooms in New York and a project for the ages.
