Summer Dessert: Green-Tea Fondue Recipe
You don't have to twist my arm to get me to try a green-tea dessert. The earthy flavor of matcha becomes downright addictive when sweetened with sugar, and this recipe makes a quick, crowd-pleasing dessert you can whip up in a few minutes.
Katzie Guy-Hamilton, food and beverage director for Max Brenner, created this seasonal green-tea fondue, and it couldn't be easier to make. Keep the ingredients on hand and you'll be ready for unexpected, hungry guests.
Green Tea Fondue
Melt 10 ounces of white milk chocolate in a double broiler, then mix in 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder until smooth. Test the mixture—if you find that the flavor is not intense enough, add another 1/2 teaspoon of matcha. Cut up seasonal fruits like strawberries and bananas (mangoes and peaches are great too) and serve on a plate next to a bowl of the fondue.
